Most of the significant construction to the city and the sanctuary occurring during the Roman period not the earlier periods. That's not to say the Polis was not impressive nor important but the major construction ruins are from the Roman period that the Polis is renown for.<br /><br />As a Hellene Polis, Stratonikeia was not as important, nor was the Sanctuary / Temple of Hekate.
