I have a few non-Hellenistic blogs on my reader and almost all of them are Recon in some way. It's just a different frame of mind, I think, and it's useful to get a similar but not quite the same persepective on issues some days.Elani Temperancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05611003885755154591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2382184804747180588.post-87230587193180475902013-09-28T16:10:07.416-07:002013-09-28T16:10:07.416-07:00Personally, I find I get a lot out of other Recons...Personally, I find I get a lot out of other Reconstructionist blogs such as yours than I do out of anything more generally "neopagan", even though yours doesn't touch on my own form of reconstructionism, Asatru.

Those of us with a more reconstructionist bent have so much more in common in the general sense, that I find it rewarding to read your blog (and others akin to it), even if you don't have anything specific to the Germanic path.Greyhawk Grognardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13929743865700766901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2382184804747180588.post-66002948673366201302013-09-07T02:10:28.907-07:002013-09-07T02:10:28.907-07:00@Jonathan Agathokles: I have everything, still, bu...@Jonathan Agathokles: I have everything, still, but most of my ritual items are now in boxes somewhere. I'll get rid of it eventually. A lot of books were already stashed in boxes; the rest is still up, but mostly because it looks pretty. The difference between us is that I did practice, for around twelve years. For solely sentimental reasons, it's hard to get rid of everything :-)Elani Temperancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05611003885755154591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2382184804747180588.post-63970327490892817042013-09-07T02:05:40.250-07:002013-09-07T02:05:40.250-07:00@Jonathan Agathokles: you are right, every now and...@Jonathan Agathokles: you are right, every now and again, you need to weed out anything you have amassed. Facebook is a good example, although I have yet to do that. Thank you for your support :-)Elani Temperancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05611003885755154591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2382184804747180588.post-26267045340697419672013-09-02T03:12:03.111-07:002013-09-02T03:12:03.111-07:00And on the topic of earlier neopagan practices, I ...And on the topic of earlier neopagan practices, I also got rid of most of those books and ritual items. I kept on to them from nostalgia a bit - though I never actually practiced "neowicca" and the items were thus never used. But then I was cleaning out my room some day and said "the hell with it" and chucked them in the garbage bag. The books I still have lying around but I do plan on getting rid of them completely.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2382184804747180588.post-45508514963416000172013-09-02T03:09:38.938-07:002013-09-02T03:09:38.938-07:00I myself have discovered InoReader.com. It's pretty much Google Reader, just the UI is a bit different, but nothing that's really confusing.

I too had amassed many blogs and other sites at some point, and then started weeding out some. I just felt going through them all and reading interesting stuff simply cost too much effort and took up too much time, at the cost of more valuable things. I think it's like Facebook friends. You kind of amass a lot over time, and from time to time you need to weed them out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
