Changes to the blog:
- I have updated my Google festival calendar up 'till the new Hellenic year per ancient Athens--which is June 28, 2014.
- The Hellenic Terminology Page was updated with the latest terms.
- I have started recapping the BBC Series Atlantis and it has its own page, also linked in the left hand side of the blog, under 'Series', labeled 'Atlantis Recaps', with episode summaries and links to the recaps. Check in mondays for 11 more weeks for new ones.
- The 'Labours of Herakles' series now also has its own page where all of them can be easily found.
- It was a slow month, festival wise, so there were only reminders. In this case, for the Proerosia, the Pyanepsia, and the Thesmophoria.
- The last month, the Pagan Blog Project Posts were on: Unpopular Gods, Uniting Hellenic Polytheists, Virtues of women, and Virtues of men.
Statistics:
- In this month, the blog hit 96.000 views, not counting the views on PaganSquare, which means that next month it'll hit 100.000 and that is bloody huge!
- A little less than 12.000 of those hits happened in the last month
- The top five most popular posts were: PBP: Symbols of Hellenismos (273), "Atlantis" recap (1.02): A Girl By Any Other Name (214), "Atlantis" recap (1.01): The Earth Bull (152), The myth of Atlantis (148), and PBP: Virtues of women (135)
Anything else?
Pandora's Kharis, a charity circle for and by Hellenistic Polytheists, was launched this month and the way it's looking now, we'll have about 110,- dollars to send to Médicins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders). It's not exactly a fortune yet, but there is always next month! I am very thankful for everyone who donated; the actual amount is higher, obviously, but PayPal does take its cut. Would you like to help? Join us on Facebook!
Have a wonderful end of the old month/start of the new, and join me tomorrow for Atlantis!
