To whom it may concern. The Ancient Historians at UCL would like to encourage applications from outstanding candidates for the following post-doctoral fellowship schemes. We are a sub-group of the History Department, covering between us the ancient middle east from the second millenium BC to the end of the Roman empire. Their profiles can be found here.
Candidates will be considered alongside those applying for other fields of History.
The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual
The scheme’s deadline is 11 September 2019, so if you are interested in applying for this fellowship contact one of us soon.
The British Academy Postdoctoral
Details of the competition will be made available by the British Academy in mid-August.
The Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship
Applicants are advised to contact the department in the autumn in order to have a draft application ready for internal review by December 2019.
If you are interested in, and eligible for, any of these schemes, please contact an ancient historian working in a relevant field with whom you can discuss and develop your research proposal.
